CentOS VM

Up until the last day or two, I had had these disparate threads of understanding around programming, APIs, servers, networks, Linux, and so on. What I mean is, I had undertaken many of these aspects within silod processes of learning- I learned how to do front-end programming in Bootcamp. Later, I learned to work with Node.js with back-end work. I started to connect the two in some basic full-stack apps. I have been tinkering with raspberry pis for ages, now, using very simply commands- just skimming the surface.

Things have begun to shift as I begin to see how these are interconnected. I am studying for the A+ exam, so suddenly I am seeing the raspberry pi in a whole different light, physically speaking- I am noticing the CPU, the specs of the RAM and such. Yesterday, I ssh’d into my raspberry pi using my wireless internet network, and so there’s another level of connecting the things that I am learning- the network layer. It’s really interesing.

Today I signed up for a Complete Linux Training Course on Udemy, one that will help me to prepare for a Red Hat certification. Today, I installed the CentOS 7 VM, configured it, got it up and running.
