SQS is a queing service that decouples applications. This is really interesting as it points to creative building of data pipelines, ingesting data from events and then doing all sorts of cool stuff with it! Let’s get some hands on:
Amazon SQS > Queue > Create queue. I’m going for tthe Standard

There’s the configuration. 1024 Kb is the maximum message size:

Access policy: who can send messages to the queue? And who can receive messages from the queue? For this exercise, just the owner (me) will be able to:

And then I hit Create and voila! it is created:

I click the Send and Receive Messages button (top right corner): I create a message body and click send message:

I click on Poll for Message and that message shows up:

I click on the message:
